The sweetest smash cake…

It was such an honor to capture photographs of this family! Adalyn is a real life little doll and is about to turn ONE! What a sweet milestone! We planned our session to include some family photographs and some time with Adalyn enjoying a smash cake. When I think of babies turning one, I immediately envision them devouring CAKE! She was such a fan!

As I was editing, I could not stop smiling. In so many images captured, there is genuine JOY and LOVE. I loved how she was just starting to learn independence with standing and walking. I loved how her parents were right there to support her as she learns. To capture little moments like these makes me love what I do even more.

At the end of our session, we had some time left to let mom + dad have a moment. I am so glad that we did! It was fun to see where the joy and love originates. It is such a blessing to have a baby, but it is a true blessing to have a best friend and partner in life to raise the baby with.
