The Jorge Family

Every time I see this field, I think of what a perfect location it is for photography. The tall grass, the trees, the way the sun sets behind it… so dreamy! I was so excited to finally do a fall shoot here!

As far as outfit planning goes, this was the perfect coordination for fall photos. Mom picked her dress first which I always recommend. She went with a pattern, so the rest of the outfits needed to be more neutral. The boys’ outfits brought in some texture and variety without having any other distracting prints or logos. Their outfits perfectly pulled colors from mom’s dress making it all look so nice!

And then there’s the perfect timing to get this golden hour glow. I took the boys out first to get genuine shots of them before they got burnt out. In the images of the boys, you can just see their goofy, fun loving personalities and their brotherly bond. As the sun set more, it was time for mom and dad to shine. As we were shooting, I was prompting and cheering them on to get natural reactions. Knowing their stories and knowing their love, I was able to evoke emotion. You can just feel (and see) the comfort of their love with each other. This is why I love photography. Because of this session, they will have images that portray their family just as they are in this phase of life and love.

There were so many factors that all came together to make this one of my favorite sessions yet!
